How To Determine If The Globe In Your Projector Needs Replacing Or The Projector Is Faulty?

Written By: admin on July 12, 2009 2 Comments

I have a Toshiba projector and i went to turn it on one day and it powers up and all but i cant get any light out of the lens. So before i spend $800 on a new globe i was wondering what checks to make incase there is a fault with the machine.
Thanks

Hi.Ret .Now you have probably already checked some of this but lets start again just to make sure.
Have you selected the wrong input by mistake.
Have you adjusted the cables that connect to the back panel of the projector.
    Is the DVD working correctly.
Are the contrast and bright adjustments set to minimum
Are the warning lights blinking on the projector(Temp. Lamp.Power) If the temperature lamp is blinking the inside of the projector is too hot due to maybe the cooling fan not working and the air intakes are clogged.
If the lamp indicator is blinking then it is time to change. But check all the other things first. I hope this helps and you get your projector up and running
    Cheers
