My goal is to use a projector to project a flash movie onto a hanging sheet of plastic or glass, but I want to do it from behind the plastic/glass. Any ideas?

Try the previous suggestion first and look for a button or switch or menu setting for this among the projector’s controls.
If there is no such control, you’ll have to reverse the image the old fashioned way - reflect it off a mirror.
My old Philips Proscreen 4100 has a “Back Projection/Front Projection” option on it’s menu. I think that model is from 2002.
Most projectors in the past few years have a menu setting for rear projection. The projector would have to be pretty old if it does not have that option. Each projector is different, but in the menu there should be a place to switch from front to rear.
All projectors should have a rear projection mode in the menu setting, unless it is 10 years old. It’s the ceiling projection mode that are not on all models.
Hi.If you have a fairly recent projector, use the menu screen to reverse the projected image onto a translucent screen between you and the projector.Don’t forget the best image quality can only be achieved when the projector is positioned perpendicular to the screen on a flat and level surface.
